THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT

Recommandations

  • Fasting for 3 hrs prior to your appointment.
  • No alcohol or street drugs prior to the intervention.
  • Cocaine: careful! for serious medical reasons (risk of complication), stop taking heavy drugs (cocaine) 48 hrs before your appointment.
  • No aspirin 3 days before and one week after.
  • Because of the medication you will receive, you must have someone accompanying you back home. But this person will not be allowed in the intervention room, nor in the recovery room.
  • You cannot drive a car or sign any legal documents for 12 hrs after your  intervention.
  • Expect to be at the Clinic for approximately 2 hours.
  • Plan for one day off, if you are working. You can probably resume your normal activities two days later.

Bring with you :

  • medical insurance card or temporary attestation (without it, you will have to pay for the cost of the procedure)
  • comfortable clothes, skirt or pants, with a T-shirt or short sleeves topd
  • sanitary pad and underwear suitable for holding a sanitary pad following the intervention, (no g-string)
  • if you have asthma: bring your medication (pumps)
  • if possible, a donation to the Clinic (cash, Visa or Interac).
